Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography

Introduction

Numerous new perspectives for diagnosis and treatment using endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) were demonstrated during the 2011 Digestive Disease Week (DDW; 7 – 10 May; Chicago, Illinois, USA). A large field of new developments emerged in the treatment of strictures and cysts as well as the description of new possibilities for cholangioscopy.
